Women & Girls at South Malvern Cricket Club

At South Malvern Cricket Club, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for women and girls in cricket. As we continue to grow as the Malvern area’s premier destination for female cricket, our mission is to provide accessible pathways for players of all ages and abilities, from those just starting out to those looking to progress to higher levels of the game.

We are proud to have a strong and growing girls’ programme, with our junior girls team now progressing into youth and adult grades this season. This is an exciting step in their development and reflects the clear pathway we are building within the club. We are committed to supporting these players as they continue to develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. In addition, we also have girls actively participating across our wider teams, strengthening the inclusiveness and depth of our club.

Looking ahead, we are also exploring the formation of a social T20 women’s side, depending on player numbers. This would provide a fun, welcoming, and flexible opportunity for women and girls to enjoy cricket in a social environment, whether new to the game or returning after time away. South Malvern Cricket Club is always keen to welcome new female players, and we believe cricket should be accessible, enjoyable, and community-driven for everyone.
